A little about her, "Erma Kyriakos has been teaching music for 8 years. Her experience includes teaching full sized orchestra classes, group piano classes, and individual lessons for guitar, piano, and violin. She has her Bachelor’s of Music Education degree from Florida State University with an emphasis on violin and orchestral playing. She is continually motivated to teach because of her students' enthusiasm and creativity. Erma moved to San Francisco in 2010 to not only continue her endeavors in teaching, but to also become a performing artist; performing music at venues all over the Bay Area including, Yoshi’s San Francisco, The Great American Music Hall, The Fillmore’s Poster Room, Cafe du Nord, The Swedish American Hall, the Castro Theater and The Freight and Salvage. In addition to music, she is currently attending school at CCSF to get her pre-requisites for grad school in hopes of becoming a clinical psychologist one day. She also likes to surf, dance, and of course play music in groups! Erma believes that playing music with others is crucial to her enjoyment of music and is excited to begin her new chapter at Aardvarks!"
For the remainder of our Fall Semester, you'll notice Erma attending a few classes. If you see her, help us welcome her to the MFA team! She'll be teaching Wednesday and Thursday classes starting Winter Semester!
